Hee hee... guess where I am? Betcha never guessed it right. I'm in the PC lab. Where else but AH?? I'm kinda bored now because I've nothing to do at the moment. I'm actually attending this telephone techniques course in the PC lab. It's e-learning btw. I've already finished the online excercises & I still have 2 more hours to be released leh. Damm sianz... still have to return to ward after this course!!!

I'm so excited by the fact that I'm going to watch Mickey's Magic Show on this friday!!! Yea... Somewhere in march next year I'll be going to HK Disneyland!!! Woohoo....

I'm on a holiday mood now... planning to go Genting with Hippo & his parents in mid-dec. Hopefully all my shift requests are approved.

Just last week I've successfully finished my 4 nights under God's presence. I prayed for His presence throughout & He didn't leave me alone. (Some people must be thinking I'm getting insane but it's not true. He really answered my prayers) He's such an awesome God. I've learned to depend on Him for I've already gave my life to Him & let Him plan the pathway He's laid out to me. Would you believe me that He's the one who gave me the calling to be a nurse? There was once I heard a voice telling me repeatedly to be a nurse for there'll be a large increase in ill-stricken people in the years to come. Over the next few weeks, I applied for a nursing course & resigned from my former job. I followed the calling & landed to a place which I'm now at. (Honestly speaking, sometimes I really regret in joining this profession because nobody appreciates us most of the times) I believe God has a purpose for me.

On my sleeping day ie. the last night shift is our hospital's dinner & dance. The theme was Heroes & Villains. We had alot of fun & I've taken some pictures. Will upload the pics when I'm home then. After the dinner, a few of us went clubbing at MOS. I left Hippo stranded at home & the following morning he nagged at me like a hen!!!! Muahahaha....

I'm really back to driving already. It's so meaningful to learn from driving school rather from a private instructor!!!!! But the fees are expensive. I'm only afraid my monthly salary gets exhausted easily. If I use Hippo's money, he'll nag at me like a hen again!!!!! But sometimes I've no choice la.... blame it on my low salary la... haha....

Yesterday was the 1st day I returned to ward after my 3 days off from night shifts. I was assigned to team 1 again & the workload was so heavy that all of us have no time for meals or drinks. Poor us! Poor me!!! I was on the feet throughout, didn't even take a sip of water at all. I took 2 hours to change diapers because of the interruptions in-between like answering call bells, answering to patients/relatives' queries, attend to doctors' requests etc.... I was feeling frustrated inside when I remembered the Bible's Words ie to cast all my anxieties to God & He'll led me thru. True enough, I remained calm throughout & managed to finish my work until 10pm.

Anyway gtg liao... back to lessons.....

As usual, I'm working on a public holiday. Kinda used to it already. Come to think of it, the whole island is flooded with people who doesn't need to work & I think it's pointless to get myself squeezed & knocked by the crowd. I'ld like to keep my PH for some other purpose. Perhaps to do my driving lesson. Yea... I'm back to practical driving again, this time round no more procastination because I've paid $100+ for the membership at SSDCL. Hippo will be paying for my lessons although he didn't fully agree because I usually dun return him his money if I use his credit card!!!! Actually I'm tempted by his idea of buying me a scooter if I learn biking because it's cheaper than a car. I'ld rather he'll buy me my dream car ie. Subaru. Muahahahaha.....

I've just been confirmed as a perm staff recently & I was delighted although I've no plans to work at AH in the long run. I need this confirmation badly because I'll be eligible for leave application ma... lolz.... Hippo is bringing me to HK Disneyland as promised 1 year ago. We're unable to work out the dates because only 1 AN is able to apply for the leave slots allocated by SSN Seow. I hope we'll be able to go in March that's when the coast is clear!!! The other day Kak Nor was asking me if I wanna join her in the Korea trip for 6 days & I was so excited because I've never been there before & it's winter season now. However, Hippo refused to let me go & I'm also not eligible to request so many off days.

God has been kind enough with me although I've not been attending church & carecell for sometime nor I was reading His Words regularly. I was thinking of moving on to another church like the one in Newton. Just wanna find a place which I'm comfortable with so that I'll feel like I'm staying closer with Him. Maybe should ask Gavin along. He's been asking me out for several weeks & we still haven't meet up yet. If I dun meet him on this saturday he'll think I'm not keen in contacting him anymore. But gotta think of an excuse to tell Hippo if he decides to keep me company. Hippo doesn't like me going out with Gavin because he thinks he's a bad influence on me.

This hippo has been accomodating my off days until I couldn't find a free day to go shopping on my own. He knew I wouldn't dare to spend alot if he's around. I wonder if that's the reason he's keeping me from spending money??!! I'm still having the itch to shop & I thought I can do that after work just now but then I forgot to bring my outing clothes. I can't go shopping with my uniform eh. I've a list of clothes in my mind which I wanna buy for instance, the hypnosis, puma, etc... I haven't even bought my working shoes!!!! My current shoes are spoilt & I'm quite surprised hippo is supporting me to buy onitsuka tiger shoes!!! That alone cost $149++ I'm gonna purposely make him pay for it since he feels that I should wear good quality shoes. I'll feel heartpain if I pay myself because I knew my shoes will get wet most of the time due to showering of patients & will get dented sooner because of the locking & unlocking of trolleys, commodes.

I'm sleepy... going for a short nap...

Jesus.... I thank you for answering my prayers. Last night no admissions at all... woo hoo... I remained vigilant the whole night although I've decided to let God do what He wanna do to my ward. My heart skipped a beat when Jessica told me to evacuate all the remaining patients from the 1st cubicle to the 3rd cubicle because ward 12 (ie. male ward) has already left 9 beds & that the concerned staff is eyeing on our ward already. Deep within me, I pray to God that not to let any male patients into my ward because I dun really like nursing the males. Apart from no male patient admission, there's no other admission too.

I've finally completed my night shifts. Wow... it's a tough job afterall. I've decided that I'm not keen into nursing the elderly, instead I would prefer nursing the babies (not including the toddlers) Hence I told hippo that I wanna specialize paediatrics if possible but he told me to specialize something which can earn alot of money. I always have a thing for babies, so it's either I wanna be a midwife or a paediatric nurse. Yea... I wanna nurse babies!!! They're so cute!!!

I'm sooo tired now... I've eaten my breakfast & my hair is dry now.. so... zzzzzzzz.....

Yippie... tonight shall be my last night shift!!! Woohoo... followed by 3 days off. I've just knocked off so unable to sleep yet cos had a heavy breakfast just now. I dread working night shifts because it's long hours & tiring. I always keep myself awake by occupying with work. I've received several admissions on my 1st two nights & none on my 3rd night so the workload is manageable la. But on the other hand, it depends on which SN I'm partnering with because the current one I'm partnering with is not a capable or competent one. I'm not despising her but sometimes she needs alot of prompting & reminders. I'm glad she did help me a little whenever I'm busy.

On my 2nd night Baoling came to my ward & passed me my belated b-day present. I was happy that she still remember me & my b-day. This friend is still worth to keep!!! Haha... Both of us happened to be off on saturday & I thought of going KTV with her cos it's been a long time. But haven't confirm with her la cos gotta plan my schedule for that day. Gottta attend a church workshop in the morning then an evening makan session with hippo's buddy Jackie & his gf. My saturday is going to burn out just like that.

Guess what??!!! Remember my last entry on teaching a patient's daughter some basic care??!!! Well, today her mum is discharging to a nursing home & last night she gave me a hand-weaved cross bookmark as a token of appreciation. I was surprised to learn that she was a Christian too. She even wrote me a note thanking me for taking care of her mum & teaching her. This was the 1st time someone expressed her appreciation to me in this manner. Other times, some patients & their relatives only verbalize their compliments on me. I do feel flattered honestly & I'm proud of God's works & myself. These compliments always motivate me to excel further.

This hippo keep bugging me to attend my driving lessons cos he's not gonna drive me to work anymore. He's gonna let me use his car!!! Woohoo... gotta register for lessons this month or else he'll nag at me forever.
